IBM has acquired Logiq Consulting, adding a Bristol-founded cybersecurity consultancy with more than 235 employees and specialist capabilities across UK defence, Critical National Infrastructure, government and other regulated sectors.
The transaction, announced on 24 September 2026, sees IBM acquire Logiq from Phoenix Equity Partners, the company's founders and other shareholders. Financial terms were not disclosed. Phoenix invested in Logiq in 2023, supporting a period of expansion that included the acquisition of Savient earlier in 2026.
Founded in Bristol in 2018, Logiq has developed from a cybersecurity consultancy into a secure solutions provider working in complex and sensitive operating environments. Its capabilities span cybersecurity assurance, Secure by Design, secure systems engineering, digital transformation and secure managed services.
The acquisition also brings Logiq's DISX family of secure solutions into IBM. The portfolio includes a managed sovereign collaboration platform that enables government suppliers to exchange sensitive information securely with UK Government and Defence organisations while retaining control over where and how that information is managed.
Within IBM, Logiq's capabilities will complement SiXworks, an IBM company providing digital transformation expertise in Defence and the Public Sector. The combination expands IBM Consulting's UK cybersecurity transformation and sovereign technology capabilities alongside its existing hybrid cloud and artificial intelligence offering.
