Bitron Electronics S.p.A., a Bitron Group company, has completed the acquisition of 100% of Calvi Sistemi, an Italian technology company specialising in remote control, automation and regulation systems for electrical, electronic and telecommunications infrastructure.

The transaction, reported as completed on 25 September 2026, transfers the entire share capital of Calvi Sistemi to Bitron Electronics. The financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed in the supplied announcements.

Calvi Sistemi combines its work in remote control, automation and regulation systems with application software development and has an established presence in the network infrastructure sector. Its technological expertise and experience in network infrastructure systems will become part of Bitron as the buyer expands its capabilities in industrial automation and its offering for the utilities sector.

The acquisition gives Bitron full ownership of Calvi Sistemi rather than a minority interest or partnership arrangement. For Bitron, the transaction adds a business with specialist capabilities spanning electrical, electronic and telecommunications infrastructure as well as software development, broadening the technology base supporting its industrial automation and utility activities.

Why The Deal Matters

The acquisition strengthens Bitron's industrial automation capabilities while expanding its offering for the utilities sector. Calvi Sistemi contributes technological expertise and long-standing experience in network infrastructure systems, alongside capabilities in remote control, automation, regulation and application software development.

Bringing those capabilities into the Bitron Group gives the buyer a broader offering across technologies used in electrical, electronic and telecommunications infrastructure. The transaction also gives Bitron complete ownership of the acquired business, allowing Calvi Sistemi's expertise to be integrated within the group following completion.

The strategic rationale disclosed for the transaction is therefore centred on technological capabilities and sector expansion. Neither announcement supplied a purchase price or other financial terms for the acquisition.
