Tradeweb Markets has agreed to acquire Trumid Holdings, a New York-based electronic credit trading platform, for approximately $1.97 billion, expanding its capabilities across primary and secondary bond markets.

The agreement, announced on 19 October 2026, values Trumid's business at $1.75 billion, with approximately $220 million attributed to acquired tax assets. Total consideration comprises approximately $1.89 billion in cash and $82 million in equity, subject to customary adjustments.

Tradeweb expects to finance the cash component primarily through existing resources. Both companies' boards have unanimously approved the transaction, which remains subject to regulatory clearance and other closing conditions. Completion is targeted for the first half of 2027.

Trumid operates an electronic marketplace for investment-grade, high-yield, distressed and emerging-market bonds. Its trading protocols, including Swarms and Attributed Trading, complement Tradeweb's existing credit execution services.

Tradeweb serves more than 3,000 clients across over 85 countries and facilitates more than $3 trillion in average daily notional trading volume across asset classes.
