Monomoy Capital Partners has completed the recapitalization of Creedence Energy Services, acquiring the US oilfield chemicals business from Tower Arch Capital and ending the seller's investment partnership that began in 2019. The transaction was announced on October 8, 2026, with financial terms, including the acquisition price and ownership structure, undisclosed.
Founded in 2014, Creedence provides specialised chemical programmes and services for oil and natural gas production and midstream infrastructure. Its operations support production performance and asset integrity across producing wells, pipelines and saltwater disposal facilities.
The company employs more than 275 people across 22 locations and serves over 200 customers. Its key operating regions include the Bakken, Permian, Anadarko, Haynesville, San Juan and Powder River Basins, giving the business an established presence across major US oil and gas producing regions.
During Tower Arch's ownership, Creedence expanded its operational scale through initiatives including add-on acquisitions and improvements to internal systems. The transaction concludes an investment partnership that began in 2019 for the Salt Lake City-based private equity firm, which specialises in partnerships with middle-market, family-owned and entrepreneur-led businesses.
