Euricom has agreed to acquire 100% of German rice and pulses processor Müller's Mühle GmbH from GoodMills Deutschland GmbH, expanding the Italian food group's manufacturing presence and product offering in Germany.
The transaction, announced in October 2026, remains subject to customary regulatory approvals and is expected to close by the end of 2026. Financial terms have not been disclosed.
Headquartered in Gelsenkirchen, Müller's Mühle was founded in 1893 and operates an established German brand supplying rice, pulses and other grain-based products. Its operations include a processing facility for legume-derived proteins and starch flours, commissioned in 2021.
Euricom supplies rice, pulses, cereals and food ingredients across European markets through branded and private-label products. Its portfolio includes Curtiriso and Flora in Italy, Sonko in Poland and Ebly in France.
The acquisition agreement provides for Euricom to take ownership of the German business from GoodMills Deutschland, part of the Austria-based GoodMills Group. The companies will continue operating independently until completion.
Buyer / Parties: Euricom S.p.A.; GoodMills Deutschland GmbH (seller)
Target: Müller's Mühle GmbH
Sector: Food manufacturing, rice and pulses processing, grain-based ingredients
Deal type: Acquisition of 100% of shares (pending completion)
Value: Undisclosed
Geography: Italy / Germany / Austria
Identified advisers: Freshfields (buyer-side legal adviser)
Euricom intends to establish Müller's Mühle as its German operating platform, investing in the Gelsenkirchen facility, established brand and workforce while introducing its broader product portfolio to German customers.
The acquisition would also add existing processing capabilities for legume proteins and starch flours used in industrial food production. The facility, operational since 2021, complements Euricom's established activities in rice, pulses and grain-based products.
Müller's Mühle brings an established German manufacturing base and relationships across consumer and industrial food markets. The transaction would therefore extend Euricom's geographic presence and processing capabilities without requiring the group to establish an entirely new German operation.
Buyer — Euricom: Freshfields acted as legal adviser on the acquisition. The team was led by partner Dr. Nicholas Günther and principal associate Henri Conze, both from the firm's Düsseldorf Corporate/M&A practice.
Freshfields also provided specialist support covering tax, antitrust, commercial and intellectual property, and regulatory matters.
