EQT has launched EQT Nexus Asia, an evergreen strategy designed to provide eligible individual and institutional investors with access to EQT Private Capital’s Asia Pacific platform. Announced on September 9, 2026, the strategy will allocate capital across the platform’s closed-ended large-cap and mid-market strategies.

The underlying strategies target companies operating in healthcare, services, technology and industrial technology across India, Korea, Japan, Greater China, Southeast Asia and ANZ. Bringing those allocations together within a single strategy gives eligible investors diversified exposure across sectors, markets and investment segments within EQT’s regional private capital operation.

The launch is supported by the scale and growth profile presented for Asia Pacific. The region has around 60% of the world’s population and a USD 35 trillion economy growing at over 4% per year. By 2035, it is expected to contain 3.2 billion of the world’s five billion middle-class consumers.

Private equity allocations remain comparatively limited against that economic contribution. Asia represents around 60% of global economic growth but receives less than 5% of global private equity capital. EQT identifies this difference, alongside domestically driven growth, lower correlation with Western economic cycles and robust IPO markets, as a favourable basis for long-term investment.

EQT has invested approximately USD 50 billion across Asia since 1997. Its Asian portfolio employs more than 270,000 people, while its regional investment operation includes over 150 professionals working from nine offices. That established presence provides the operational base for sourcing investments and supporting portfolio companies through active ownership.

Sueann Yeo, EQT’s Head of Global Wealth Solutions for Asia Pacific, characterised EQT Nexus Asia as a route for eligible individual and institutional investors to obtain diversified access to the firm’s regional strategies. She linked the product’s structure to EQT’s local presence and experience of developing companies across Asia.

Hari Gopalakrishnan, Co-Head of EQT Private Capital Asia, identified large domestic economies, favourable demographics and structural forces as foundations for the region’s long-term investment potential. He also highlighted the combination of EQT’s experienced regional team, global sector knowledge and active-ownership capabilities.

Nicholas Macksey, Co-Head of EQT Private Capital Asia and Head of Mid-Market Asia, described the mid-market as an important part of the regional opportunity. His assessment focused on businesses seeking to expand, enter additional markets or develop their capabilities, with EQT working alongside founders and management teams during that growth.

Access to the investment strategy remains restricted to eligible investors and governed by the applicable offering documentation. EQT stated that any offer involving EQT Nexus Asia would be made through a confidential private placement memorandum and related documents supplied to qualified investors in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.

The information is not intended for publication or distribution to persons in the United States of America. The referenced securities have not been registered under the U.S. Securities Act of 1933, as amended, and cannot be offered or sold without registration or an available exemption. The strategy’s operational reach will therefore depend on investor eligibility, distribution restrictions and the allocation of capital across EQT Private Capital’s regional large-cap and mid-market investments.
