Loomis has completed its acquisition of 99.8% of Hermes Transportes Blindados, paying approximately $297 million, or about SEK 3 billion, for the tendered shares and establishing an operating presence in Peru.
The transaction completed on 5 October 2026 following the public tender offer launched in August. Loomis acquired 87,072,827 Hermes shares, representing 99.8% of the outstanding shares, after shareholders representing 99.49% had previously agreed to support the offer. Hermes had been valued at an enterprise value of approximately SEK 4 billion, or PEN 1.45 billion, on a cash- and debt-free basis.
Hermes is a Peruvian security logistics business providing transportation, processing and secure storage of valuables, including cash, precious metals and minerals. It also provides ATM management and cash-processing services. The company employs approximately 3,400 people, operates 19 branches and serves around 1,000 customers across financial services, industry, retail, the public sector and mining.
Following completion, Hermes will be reported within Loomis’s Europe and Latin America segment. Hermes’ management team and employees will remain with the business.
The acquisition financing was initially structured through a committed bridge facility and guarantee facility coordinated by Nordea Bank and Société Générale. Ahead of closing, those facilities were refinanced using proceeds from Loomis’s EUR 300 million bond issuance.
